WE ARE LEGAL NOW! Kicking the 21st episode, the boys have not 1, but 2  special guests for the first part of this 2-Episode special on the topic of Journalism in the comic-book world. The guests, Carolyn (the Not-at-all-Mild-Mannered-Girlfriend to Music Man Mike) and newcomer Matt Koenig (Mild-Mannered-Rapist)  join the boys for a review of Warren Ellis’s Transmetropolitan Volumes  1-3, and yes, Sam will be batshit excited the entire time. Also, we hear about a scheme involving Hulk and Broadway, not to mention the fate of Alex’s Marvel Comics alter-ego in Savage She-Hulk. All this along with the usual (and often unusual) antics this week on the Mild Mannered Podcast!

Plus! Matt Koenig and Sam contribute a piece of Spider-Man: Brand New Day for this week’s Masterpiece Comic Book Theatre!

Comic-Books-Kingdom-Come-003

Can you believe it? The Podcast has reached its 20th episode and going strong! On this special episode, the boys are at odds when their opinions and debates over Mark Waid and Alex Ross’s Elseworld’s epic, Kingdom Come, clash! Also, the recent purchase of Marvel by Disney is looked at half-full AND half-empty. Not to mention the news flash from Alex about the fate of  the super male-bonding trade series, Marvel Bromance! Masterpiece Comic-Book Theatre delivers its newest installment from Dan Slott’s She-Hulk!

BUT WAIT! We also got to talk to both Dennis Calero, artist for such great books as X-Men Noir and Sliders, and Jordan D White, assistant editor at Marvel Comics on The Incredible Hercules (not to mention the brains behind Age of the Sentry!). You can catch some of the best parts of the interview in this episode, and be sure to check back later in the week for the full 90-minute extravaganza of fascinating conversation with two super classy industry insiders.
